Benzinga asked three AI chatbots the same question: which U.S.-listed stock is best positioned to outperform from Monday, Oct. 12, through Friday, Oct. 16? Each model had to search current market data and news, then name one top pick and two runners-up.
Two of the three bots landed on the same name. OpenAI’s ChatGPT and xAI’s Grok both picked Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (NYSE:TSM), which reports third-quarter results before the bell Thursday.
Anthropic‘s Claude went its own way with Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (NYSE:GS), which opens big-bank earnings season Tuesday.

Two Bots Back TSMC
Grok was the most confident of the three and scored its call 8 out of 10. ChatGPT gave TSMC a 7, weighing AI-driven growth against high expectations.
ChatGPT built its case on revenue. TSMC’s September sales rose 54.6% from a year earlier and third-quarter revenue jumped 50% to a record, according to Reuters.
Grok focused on TSMC’s grip on the advanced chipmaking capacity behind AI processors. It expects upbeat guidance on 2-nanometer and AI capacity.
Analysts expect net profit to surge 65% to T$746.3 billion, which would be a sixth straight record quarter, according to Reuters. Morgan Stanley analyst Charlie Chan expects TSMC to raise its full-year growth forecast to the low-to-mid 40% range.
TSMC shares closed Friday at $453.31. The U.S. shares are up about 49.2% this year and sit roughly 7% below their 52-week high.
Both models set a $480 weekly target on TSM stock. ChatGPT would buy between $448 and $456 with a $435 stop. Grok wants in at $450 to $455, with a $430 stop. Both flagged the same risk: soft guidance could trigger profit-taking.

Top Growth Stocks
Claude Takes Goldman
Claude was the most cautious, at 5 out of 10. Its thesis is simple: the bar has dropped. Claude said consensus fell from $15.18 a share two weeks ago to about $12.86, and Goldman beat estimates in each of the last four quarters by an average of 20.42%.
Goldman has topped expectations for 12 straight quarters, and the stock rallied 9% after its last report, CNBC reported. CEO David Solomon still warned investors last month to expect a muted quarter, Reuters said.
Goldman finished Friday at $895.32. The shares are up about 1.9% this year but trade 22.4% under their 52-week high. Claude sees room for a rebound if the stock beats.
Its plan calls for entry between $880 and $890, a $950 target and a $855 stop. Claude also cited a Wells Fargo price-target cut to $1,175, with the firm keeping an Overweight rating.
Wednesday’s consumer price index is the biggest risk. Economists expect September headline inflation of 3.6%, up from 3.4% in August, CNBC reported. A hot reading could revive rate-hike bets before the Federal Reserve meets Oct. 27-28.
The Runners-Up
JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) made all three lists ahead of its Tuesday report. Claude said the bank has earned the most IPO fees of any lender in 2026.
ChatGPT and Grok both added ASML Holding N.V. (NASDAQ:ASML), which reports Wednesday. Grok called it a key supplier of extreme ultraviolet lithography tools.
Claude ranked Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) second. The bank reports on Wednesday morning and the stock rose after each of its last four earnings releases.
